Due to income and poverty levels, local schools and community leaders do not have the funds to maintain and improve many existing school structures. Over a period of time, school buildings deteriorate, the few that have libraries become outdated, bath rooms are only have finished, and many classrooms lack the wiring for electricity, windows and desks. Chalkboards consist of black paint on a cement wall. Many children come to school hungry for most schools cannot afford to build a cafeteria.
The Simba Foundation donors are helping to remodel schools and bring life back to a local community where the schools becomes the educational center to erase educational poverty and provide the much need motivation and resources for students to stay in school and complete their high school education.
