One of the biggest challenges for parents in Tanzania is physical poverty. Many parents simply do not have the income to continuing send their children to school. The costs of uniforms, meals, educational supplies and school tuition fees continue to increase as a child gets older. Many parents can’t afford such fees, so underprivileged and disadvantaged students drop out only to become more incased in physical and educational poverty.
The Simba Foundation donors are making a difference by providing scholarships for underprivileged and disadvantaged students to provide textbooks, school uniforms, meals, tuition fees and educational supplies that will make the difference if a student drops out or stays in school. Scholarships also provide opportunities for teenagers to complete vocational and technical high school training.
